Content guidelines
Practical rules for uploads (images, clips, documents, 3D assets like GLB/glTF/VRM and similar bundles). Industry platforms such as Sketchfab, VRChat, and storefronts converge on similar ideas: clear user representations, limited platform licence to operate the service, prohibition lists, repeat-infringer language, and a published path for rightsholders—we follow that shape here without copying any specific third-party wording.
In short
- You may only upload and share media you personally own or are clearly allowed to use on our service—including 3D models, textures, rigs, trademarks, likenesses, and audio.
- Publishing a frame or granting access to collaborators may display or replay your uploads; redistribution rules (Creative Commons “NoDerivatives”, “NonCommercial”, etc.) stay your obligation to honour.
- We remove or restrict content that violates these rules or the law where required. Repeat problems can lead to account restrictions.
- For copyright concerns, reach us at our designated contact—same process many creator platforms publish for DMCA-style notices.
Relation to other policies
These guidelines explain how uploads interact with BudsCollab. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything conflicts, the Terms control.
Licence you give us
To run previews, thumbnails, realtime collaboration, backups, and spam or abuse scans, you grant PolyAtomic Tech a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, transmit, display, adapt (for example transcoding), and create technical copies of your uploads strictly to operate and improve the Service—mirroring typical “limited licence grant” wording you would see from hosting or social products. Aside from enabling the product for you and people you authorize, we are not granting others a licence to reuse your work commercially or as stock.
Collaborators and public frames
Room members and anyone with links you voluntarily publish may see media you place on a canvas—including read-only links for published frames. You are responsible for clearing redistribution rights (textures, shaders, rigs, rigs sold on marketplaces under personal-use terms, likenesses captured from photogrammetry, etc.). Turning on a public link counts as deliberate sharing; comply with licences and laws before you expose content.
Downloading originals
When you upload a mesh or scene we may expose a workspace-only download of the uploaded file to collaborators who already have lawful access via the Service. Guests on public URLs should assume viewing—not wholesale file redistribution unless we expressly enable otherwise. Respect the original creator's licence if you reuse anything you receive.
Absolutely prohibited
Do not upload or encourage others to upload content that:
- violates law or promotes illegal activity,
- infringes copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or trade secrets,
- contains malicious code embedded in plausible-looking assets,
- distributes non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual content targeting minors,
- harasses individuals, promotes violence, hatred, terrorism, or self-harm,
- impersonates PolyAtomic Tech staff, moderators, or partners in a manner that could mislead users.
Strikes & moderation
We may blur, downgrade quality, revoke public links, remove assets from a room, or suspend accounts proportionate to the issue—especially for rights violations—similar to the repeat-notice regimes common among UGC-heavy platforms.
Public walls and shared messages can carry content-rating and moderation metadata. Mature content may be hidden or blocked for minor accounts, and minor accounts may have stricter public-link limits.
Copyright disputes & notices
If you believe content on BudsCollab infringes your rights, email contact@polyatomic.io with URLs or other pointers that let us locate the material, enough detail for us to evaluate the claim in good faith, and your signature (electronic OK). Fraudulent notices may incur liability on the sender—we may share incomplete or misleading notices with affected users' counsel when weighing counter-notices consistent with statute.
For anything not related to infringement, prefer contact@polyatomic.io.
